For over 20 years Model Mugging has been teaching full force self-defense training courses or short impact seminars in Southern California. Women’s self-defense classes and lectures may be scheduled in Southern California: Los Angeles, Orange County (OC), San Diego, Inland Empire (Riverside & San Bernardino), and Santa Barbara (Ventura) Counties.

Women Self-defense - Model Mugging Eye StrikeSmall Groups: Model Mugging is a short but intense comprehensive women’s self defense program that is more than just martial arts training for women. Model Mugging full impact personal safety self-defense training is taught to small groups with a minimum group of 10 women. Also available are crime prevention education lectures can share preventative information on a variety of crime related topics to much larger groups. Crime prevention and full force self-defense courses can be held in a convenient location for your group. A male and female instructor team can travel to hold a course or lecture for a school, work place in-service, convention, or other event. The crime prevention education and self-defense skills taught can be tailored to fit your group.

Women’s self defense training in Los Angeles and elsewhere in Southern California is available to teenagers and women of all ages who learn full force self-defense against a rapist, stalker, kidnapper, mugger, robber, carjacker, burglar, and learn other personal safety tips for preventing violence against women. The Model Mugging advance self-defense course confronts the threat of rape aggression against gang rape and armed assailants who may have a gun, knife, club-like object. The progressive training course allows women who are survivors of violence and who are on a path to healing in another dimension that rebuilds the shield for our mind, body, and spirit. Historical Snapshot: Model Mugging personal safety is the original full force assertiveness and self-defense training program for women. Model mugging finds its origins for women’s self-defense in Southern California, San Diego, when a woman using martial arts techniques for rape aggression defense was unsuccessful in physically defending herself against a rapist. She made impact with a punch to the rapist’s stomach but impact of the strike was ineffective, and she was subsequently raped. This violent rape in San Diego was the catalyst that changed the way women are taught how to defend themselves against rape aggression. Research into how women were assaulted took place and then was combined into a fast self-defense training system that took on the name Role Model Mugging, and later shortened to Model Mugging
